The Buffaloes will face the North Dakota State Bison in the championship game on January 8, 2023, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The Buffaloes’ Path to the Championship

The Buffaloes had a strong regular season, finishing with a record of 11-1. The team's only loss came against the Air Force Falcons in a tough Mountain West Conference matchup. The Buffaloes rebounded and won their next five regular-season games in a row.

In the FCS playoffs, the Buffaloes have been dominant. They defeated the Sacramento State Hornets 41-10 in the first round and the Montana Grizzlies 35-17 in the semifinals.
