Former All-American Ready to Lead Herd

Steve finds Bison fans fired up and a former All-American is ready!

As the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison football team prepares for the upcoming season, excitement is building among fans and players alike.

One of the most anticipated storylines this year is the return of former All-American linebacker Chris Board.

Board, who played for the Bison from 2015 to 2018, was a key member of the team's three consecutive Football Championship Series (FCS) national championships.

After graduating from NDSU, Board spent two seasons playing for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.

He is now back in Fargo and ready to lead the Bison defense.

"It's great to be back in Fargo," Board said. "I'm excited to be back with my teammates and I'm looking forward to the season."

Board is not the only one excited for the upcoming season. Bison fans are also eager to see the team back on the field.

"I'm really excited for the season," said Bison fan Steve Smith.

"I think we have a lot of potential this year. We have a lot of talented players and I think we can make a run at another national championship."

The Bison will open the season on September 3rd at home against the Valparaiso Crusaders.

The game will be televised on ESPN+.
